In this series I interview some of my favourite bloggers and delve a bit deeper into their blogging life. This week I’m pleased to introduce Caroline from Diary of a Mum of 3,  a Mum, blogger and university student. Over to you Caroline……

What made you make the jump into the blogging world?

I started to follow a couple of bloggers on twitter, after a few months of following and reading their blogs I decided to give it a go myself. It wasn’t exactly a jump though as I was so shy I didn’t tell anyone for ages.

What was the inspiration behind your blog name?

I am not the most creative person… so Diary of a Mum of 3 kind of says it all really. I am happy with the name now though, I have heard a few bloggers that regret the names that they chose, mine is simple but I like it.

Is blogging your main career or just a hobby?

At the moment it is just a hobby, I would absolutely love for blogging to be my career, and maybe one day it will be. But its a tough world to break in to and I don’t know if I have the confidence to get myself out there enough.

What topics do you blog about?

My blog focuses on my family and our adventures. I also have a strong focus on home and interiors, we recently bought our own home so I have a lot more home features coming up as well.

If you didn’t have your blog what would be your dream job?

I have just started a degree with the Open University. I am studying childhood and youth studies, and if my goals are the same at the end of the degree I will be hoping to use it towards becoming a teacher. I am very open minded though, things change and I don’t know what is around the corner, my blog could become my full time career and that would be amazing. Even if I don’t go into teaching working towards a degree is something that I will be proud of and glad I have done whatever the outcome.

If you aren’t blogging what could we find you doing?

Currently it would be home improvements, or studying. But I also love to read or just relax with my husband and a good film.

What’s been your biggest blog success story?

That’s a tricky one, I am lucky that my blog has given me some amazing opportunities. I am currently part of the Netflix Stream Team and that has been amazing.

What would be your advice to anyone looking to start their own blog?

Find your confidence. It is something that I struggled with for far too long. I didn’t tell anyone in my personal life about my blog until recently. I posted on my personal Facebook about it and felt sick with nerves about what people might say or think. There probably are people that don’t ‘get it’ or think its ridiculous, but mostly people were so supportive, I had some lovely messages and it made me feel a whole lot better.
I still don’t plug my blog to them all the time but they now know about it should they want to read it.

Lastly, can you tell us something that people may not know about you?

I got married the day after I turned 21, I am sure a lot of people thought I was too young and that we hadn’t known each other long enough (15 months) but over 8 years later here we are.
