We’ve been thinking about retiring Max’s big, bulky, and somewhat babylike highchair for sometime now and replacing it with something more sleek and toddler appropriate. Kiddies Kingdom came to our rescue at the perfect time when they offered us the chance to review the popular Phil & Ted’s Poppy highchair, and as soon as I saw it I knew it suited our style perfectly.

The Phil & Ted’s Poppy highchair converts into a child seat when your little one no longer needs a highchair, and is suitable to use from 6 months to 20kg (around 4 years).

The first thing I noticed with this highchair was it’s simple design. The simplicity may make some parent’s feel uneasy, but just because it doesn’t come with all the usual bells and whistles you find on most other highchairs, doesn’t mean it can’t compete with them.

The Phil & Ted’s Poppy highchair aerocore seat is soft and spongy, providing ultimate comfort so your little one can focus on the task at hand – eating! The seat is non-toxic, seamless and waterproof, making it easy to wipe clean.

Mealtimes can be a messy affair but the Poppy has that covered. It’s large food tray has curved sides, keeping the food on the tray, rather than the floor. It’s also easy to wipe clean and is dishwasher safe. The simple nature of the tray means it’s impossible for crumbs to hide down any cracks, cutting down on the time spent cleaning it.

One of the main selling points of the Poppy highchair is the fact it converts into the ‘my chair’ and grows with your child. Once they no longer need the food tray and safety straps you can simply remove them, lower the legs and create a trendy chair for your toddler to eat and play in. At just £84.99 it means you get real value for money over the years.

The Phil & Ted’s Poppy highchair is lighter than most others and weighs only 4kg / 8.8lbs, making it easy to transfer from room to room. Storing the chair is also easy as you simply remove the back legs with the press of a button.

Poppy comes in three bright colours, Bubblegum, which we went for, Lime and Cranberry and it stands at 112cm tall and 28cm wide.

The Phil & Ted’s Poppy highchair has the essentials covered and offers great value beyond your baby’s highchair years. In my opinion it’s sure to impress even the most style conscious parent’s out there.
