Grey and copper – it’s everywhere at the moment isn’t it? It was a slow burner, creeping up on us when we least expected it, but now you can’t walk into any homeware store without seeing shelves full of grey and copper accessories.

My whole house is painted in various shades of grey, with each room featuring different coloured accessories. The bathroom has aqua accessories, our bedroom pastel yellow and the hallway a lovely navy shade. When we had our conservatory and kitchen painted grey a few months ago I was keen to keep up with the latest trend, so opted for grey and copper accessories.

I found myself searching online, looking for items that you couldn’t find in your local high street stores, and I found some real gems that I just had to share with you.

First up is this set of 2 grey conservatory storage trunks. They are made from robust steel in pale grey and feature copper clasps and carry handles. The smaller trunk measures L52 x W26 x H20cm and the large trunk measures L60 x W36 x H24cm, and they are perfectly sized to make a lovely statement in any room. There are lots of uses for the trunks and we use ours to store our blankets in, as well as doubling them up as a side unit. Just £54.99 for the set means you can get the look, without blowing your home makeover budget!

Also in our conservatory is this statement copper octagon wall shelving unit. At £195 it’s a little on the pricey side but I fell in love when I saw it and it doesn’t disappoint. The copper unit comes with varnished birch plywood shelves which are great for books, plants and photo frames. We’ve hung ours in the centre of the main wall, but it can also be free standing. It’s the first thing that catches peoples eye when they walk into the room and we’ve had so many compliments on it.

This solid copper photo print is one of my best buys to date. It looks fantastic with Instagram pictures, selfies, family photos, or in my case, this holiday snap of Max and his cousins. The metal has a brushed finish, resulting in a retro polaroid look to your picture. You can also add personalised text underneath the image, making it an ideal gift for a special occasion.

I hunted high and low for copper tea, coffee and sugar jars but struggled to find any that suited my style. I then came across these beauties on Etsy and snapped them up. A set of three jars costs £27 and you can mix and match the colour combination however you like. I went for various shades of grey and finished them off with copper lids.

We also have a copper photo frame, some grey candles and 2 mini copper plant pots, all from John Lewis, and they perfectly finish off our grey and copper theme.

I hope I’ve given you some inspiration, and if you’ve found some grey and copper accessories that you think I may love then I’d love to know.
