Engagement Rings Through the Ages

The modern day ‘diamond’ (or other precious metal/stone equivalent) ring actually had fairly humble beginnings. Ancient Egyptians have been found buried with wire wrapped around their ‘ring’ finger, perhaps one of the first instances of using this finger specifically for rings.

Increasing Space in the Home with a Growing Family

A growing family is a magical thing, but it can certainly impinge on space in the home – who knew how much stuff all these tiny humans of ours actually needed?! Lack of space is a common problem for many parents, particularly when you have one child already, but fear not, as you don’t have to move to a bigger property to find more space.

Moving house – How to improve your credit rating

This house move has been a dream of ours for sometime now and over the last few years we’ve been meticulously working on building up our credit rating, in order to be in the best possible position when it came down to the point of applying for our mortgage. It took time, planning and a lot of patience but all the hard work paid off when we got the go ahead to purchase our dream home.

Things to do in London with kids

The red double decker buses that criss-cross London are one of the most iconic sights of London. Many of these red buses serve as hop-on-hop-off buses, meaning you can view the sights of London whilst travelling in style. Mothers Day Gift Inspiration

With Mother’s Day fast approaching it’s time to show some love to all the amazing mums out there. Even though it’s more of a ‘novelty’ day, it is still a great excuse to show your matriarch how much you appreciate the years of care, wisdom and expenditure she gave you. For 2018 though I want to get back into writing on here regularly, whether that be family updates, travel highlights, fashion posts, brand collaborations or just general chit chat.

My 2018 goals

I’m not one for fancy resolutions each year because lets be honest, I almost certainly don’t stick to them. This year I’ve decided to set myself some little goals, more personal ones, and I’m hoping the fact that they are personal to me will help keep me more motivated.

The best destinations to grab some winter sun

For some people, getting a fix of vitamin D purely in the summer months simply isn’t enough. So where’s could you spend Christmas on the beach? Where’s hot in January and February when you haven’t seen the sun for months? Where are the best winter sun destinations when the British winter has well and truly kicked in?

Cancun – 2018 Travel Guide

Cancun will always hold special memories for me as it’s where we spent our honeymoon in 2013. We had a blissful 2 weeks recovering from all the wedding mayhem and I’ll be honest, we didn’t venture far from our sun-beds the whole time. As much as this was just what we needed at the time, I can’t help but think we missed out on all wonders that Cancun has to offer.
