My most recent Galvin dining experience was courtesy of La Chapelle, offering gourmet French cooking in a grade II listed former Victorian chapel, right in the heart of central London. The restaurant received it’s Michelin star back in 2011 and has held hold if it ever since.
Overnight Oats – unless you’ve been living under a rock these past few months you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. They’re the latest breakfast craze that’s taken over many peoples lives, including my own. They’ve actually been around for a quite a while now but they’ve suddenly soared in popularity and anyone who’s anyone is giving them a try.
Set in the heart of the Essex countryside, surrounded by an impressive 1.5 acres of land, Galvin Green Man is situated in one of the oldest pubs in Essex, having originally been built in 1314. The famous Galvin brothers put their name to the pub and doors opened on the fully restored venue in November 2016.
The Sheesh experience starts from the moment you drive through the electric gates and are greeted by the complimentary valet team who safely take care of your car. As you walk towards the restaurant itself you get to take in all of the funky decor scattered around the outdoor seating area – how often do you see grand chandeliers hanging from treetops?
Those of you who know me will know I have a (not so secret) love of afternoon tea. So when the Beauty and the Beast inspired ‘Tale as Old as Time’ afternoon tea rolled into town and pitched up at London hotel The Kensington I knew I just had to book up – and fast!
First served in 2005, Prêt-à-Portea brings a creative twist to the more traditional English afternoon teas, with cakes and pastries resembling the latest catwalk designs from the collections of the world’s top fashion designers such as Jimmy Choo, Burberry, Dolce and Gabbana and Chanel.
I for one like to make cooking as easy and enjoyable as possible and am always on the lookout for the latest gadgets to help me in the kitchen. I’ve picked up many items over the years and thought I’d share with you the kitchen gadgets that I couldn’t live without
It was Adam’s birthday last weekend, and when trying to think of where to take him, The Ivy was a no brainer. Having been twice before, Adam often tells me it’s his favourite restaurant. I was a bit unorganised this year due to having Max but I was relieved when I called a few weeks ago and managed to get a table for lunch.
Last week I celebrated my 33rd Birthday. They say birthdays get less special as you get older which I guess is kind of true. However, this was my first birthday as a Mummy, so for me it was one of the most special yet.
