During my pregnancy I would often ask people what it was like to become a parent. It was the unknown to me and I wanted to try and be as prepared as possible. I was met with replies of how amazing it is and how it’s the best thing that will ever happen to me. I naively spent 9 months believing that I would take to it like a duck to water. But the reality is having a baby is hard. Really bloody hard. And not one person told me that.

Visiting Buckingham Palace has always been on my bucket list and this week I finally got to tick it off the list when we took Max there for a visit.

Whether it is in the closest of bonds or the farthest of distance between us, our family is some of the closest ties many of us have outside of marriage and children. This day is to celebrate one of those very bonds, the bond of sisterhood.
Nanny Rene adores Max. Her eyes light up when she sees him and sheâ€™s never happier than when sheâ€™s having cuddles with him. Not a day goes by where she doesnâ€™t call to check on how heâ€™s doing and you can hear the love in her voice when she talks about him. I canâ€™t wait for Max to grow up and make memories with her that will last a lifetime!
