Another month and another update. I can’t quite believe it but we’re no longer in single figures and my darling Maxy Moo you are now 10 months old! We’re hurtling towards your 1st birthday at a rate of knots and before we know it we’ll have a one year old on our hands! Time is going too fast.
I can’t believe it but another month has passed and Max is now 9 months old. I actually didn’t get around to posting his 8 month update for a number of reasons. Firstly, not much actually happened in terms of development, it was a bit of a slow month. Related to this I actually had a bad month in terms of my emotions. I was left feeling like Max was behind in reaching certain milestones, and in turn this made me feel like I was failing him as a Mum.
Well here we are, it’s 2017 and on New Years Day Max turned 7 months old. I’m a few days late with this months update due to the whirlwind of Christmas and New Year. But better late than never, here is everything Max has been up to in the past month
So today we’ve reached a mini milestone. Our little baby Max is 6 months old. It feels like only yesterday that we were bringing him home from hospital, and now here he is, half a year old. People say time goes by so quickly when you become a parent and they’re right, Max is growing up so fast and the memories of him being a newborn are starting to fade.
So another month has passed and my not so little boy is 5 months old today. Everyday he’s learning new skills and it’s amazing to watch him develop. We couldn’t be more proud of what a gorgeous little boy he’s becoming.
When I was 6 months pregnant we decided we wanted to get the nursery decorated before the baby arrived. I didn’t like the idea of bringing the baby home and not having a room ready for them. However we didn’t find out the gender of the baby so we had to go for something fairly neutral.
Today Max turned 4 months old. I can’t believe how quick time is going. It seems like only yesterday that we were strapping him into his car seat and bringing him home from hospital.
The following morning I was awoken to the news that our story had been featured in The Mail online, The Sun online, The Express online and The Daily Mirror online – WOW!
Visiting Buckingham Palace has always been on my bucket list and this week I finally got to tick it off the list when we took Max there for a visit.
After a long and emotional 5 years of waiting for this little miracle we should have known his entrance into the world wouldn’t be plain sailing! I had been booked in for a C-section at 14 weeks due to having large and low lying fibroids. I also had the condition Placenta Previa, which meant the placenta was covering my cervix, therefore not allowing a natural delivery. This baby was coming out of the sun roof!
