Ever since I became a Mum my photograph collection has had a serious growth spurt. I’m forever taking photos of Max, not wanting to miss a single moment of him growing up. In the 6 months that he’s been here I’ve taken in excess of 1,000 photos of him. Unfortunately they seem to be building up in my phone storage as I try to come up with ways to display them.
Mabel & Fox is the brain child of the lovely Leanne, a Mum with a fashion degree and an obsession with interiors. Deciding not to return to her job once her maternity leave had finished, Leanne instead wanted to work for herself, whilst utilising her creative skills.
As you may have guessed, Emma’s Bambino is run by the lovely Emma who decided to start the business up at the end of 2015 during her maternity leave. The inspiration being her very own bambino – 2 year old son Santiago.
We all know I have a thing for dressing Max in monochrome at the moment, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like to inject a bit of fun into his clothes either. During one of my nightly Instagram browsing sessions I came across the gorgeous Oscarlola Clothing and my eye was instantly drawn to their amazing range of fabrics.
Last week I was given the exciting opportunity to visit Katjes Magic Candy Factory at Lakeside shopping centre to see the launch of their new 3D gummy sweet printer, the first of it’s kind in the world. Not one to miss out when it comes to sweets Adam also came along to check out the goodies on offer.
Chalkola chalk markers can be used on Non Porous Surfaces only like chalkboards, whiteboards, glass, plastic and windows (it’s advised to test a small area first). They come in a range of colours, from metallic, to neon to more earthy colours. Due to their versatility they are popular amongst teachers, chalk artists, mum’s and children.
Owned by the lovely Kate, The Little Jones was set up after she designed some prints for her own son’s nursery. Friends saw her creative ideas and instantly started asking Kate to design some for them.
I’ve been wanting to try the Double Wear foundation from Estee Lauder for a few months since my girlfriends all raved about it on a night out. Famous for it’s long-wearing formula and billing itself as ‘stay in place makeup’, Estee Lauder claim it will last for 15 hours without smudging or wearing off.
Ciao Bambino is another amazing little shop on Instagram that I’m fortunate enough to have found. Started in May 2016 by Iga and Sandra who are originally from Poland, these 2 sisters specialise in making beautiful handmade wooden accessories.
As a formula feeding Mum I find myself spending hours every week washing and sterilising bottles. In the 5 1/2 months since Max was born I’ve washed approx 1,320 bottles – Crazy! Max is on thicker formula due to his reflux and you wouldn’t believe the amount of elbow grease it takes to remove the residue from his bottles.
